The sapphire does have a couple of very small scratches and has microscopic wear in several places along the facets of the gemstone which is perfectly normal for a amazing antique such as this. The ring weighs 3.9 grams and it is a size 6.5 that can easily be sized by a jeweler.

The top measures 9.3 mm north to south which is the actual diameter of the gemstone.
